Sabahat Rafiq, an international investment banking consultant, entrepreneur, and expert on religion and international relations, will speak at the PDC's next luncheon on April 20. Her topic will be The New Great Game, the struggle for political power, influence and control of resources—particularly fossil fuels and water—in Central Asia. As these resources are discussed and negotiated, often behind the scenes, the political landscape continues to reshape every day in an environment of intrigue, mistrust and ambitions of dynastic proportions. An erudite speaker, Ms. Rafiq has been a guest on NPR’s Forum program, hosted by Michael Krasny.
The cost to attend the luncheon is $25. Please come early to get seats and ensure time to sign-in. We are no longer accepting online RSVP's or online payments. Guests may still attend even if they didn't RSVP and they can pay at the event.
