Hear Sandra Fluke, Social Justice Advocate, at a Sunday Salon!

The PDC is co-hosting a fundraiser for Emerge California, www.emergeca.org. Join Sandra Fluke, Social Justice Advocate and Emerge CA Board member, to learn more about the Emerge program, hear how Sandra has been using her voice to advocate for more progressive policies, and why now, more than ever, we need to elect more Democratic women to public office.

Do you know a woman who makes a difference in your community who should run for public office? Do you want to have more than 27% women in the California legislature and more than 18% women in the US Congress?

This is a fundraiser for Emerge California, and an opportunity to learn about the Emerge program (see below). PYD members (PDC members 35 years old and younger) can contact the PDC about a reduced rate. For donation levels and RSVP information please visit:  http://www.emergeca.org/events/fall-house-party. The location address will be sent prior to the event to those who RSVP. Both Sandra Fluke and Emerge Executive Director Kimberly Ellis are amazing, inspiring women – come join us for a spectacular fall afternoon salon with two rising young Democratic leaders! And if you know a woman who should consider running for office or who wants to become more politically engaged, encourage her to come to hear about the program – and bring her along!

About Emerge California

Emerge California is the premier training program for Democratic women. Their goal is clear: to increase the number of qualified Democratic women in public office. They provide a unique program for identifying, training and encouraging Democratic women to run for office, get elected and to seek higher office. As the number of elected Democratic women remains flat or even declines, the need for their work is growing. For more information see http://www.emergeca.org/home.
