Making Democratic Voices Louder For Our Electeds and Us

Join our newly created PDC ACTION Committee to Phone our Elected Representatives to express your values and opinions on issues. This committee will help alleviate your feelings of frustration. All of us want to fight back against Trump and the Maga Republicans but many of us don't don't know what to do.  

What is 5 Calls.org? 

As a poud Democrat,  we will be using a website called: 5Calls.org.  By using  5 Calls.Org you can easily participate in communication with Congressman Liccardo, Senators Adam Schiff and Alex Padilla and Govenor Newsom.

This site enables our members to use this  progressive 501c website to make phone calls to your elected officials on many issues like the proposed elimination of FEMA, the attempt to abolish federal funding for Planned Parenthood, PBS and NPR public broadcasting and by cutting Medicaid funding for millions.  By phoning with 5Calls.org you will be lobbying your electeds to support your Democratic values! 5Calls gives a list of 46 possible issues, background information on your issue, plus phone numbers of your elected officials (senators, congressman  governor, etc.) and even a possible script.  

Why Do We Want to "Flood" our Electeds with Calls?  

People who say to themselves:  "Why Phone?  All Democrats will vote the way I feel anyway."  However, NOW is a time FOR ALL OF US TO ACT!  The survival of our Democracy is on the line.  By phoning regularly we support our elected officials as well as making them bolder and braver in fighting to save our democracy and the incredible counry we have created since World War II.

Why Is This Important NOW?

 We want our electeds to be LOUD about the dangerous, illegal, and often cruel actions that Trump and his MAGA clones are doing to our nation.  For example, when the dangerous bill, HR 1, passed Congress with massive cuts to Medicaid, the first notable  cut  was to a rural hospital in Curtis, Nebraska, that did not have sufficient funds available to stay open. And, that is just the beginning of issues that we have with this destructive, irresponsible, and often illegal budget-busting bill that will destroy American lives and our children's future.

Why Do Our Representatives Need to Hear from Us Repeatedly?

We want our Democratic representatives to be LOUD and BOLD by holding TOWN Halls in our District/State, press conferences in Washington, D. C., as well as on national TV.  We want our electeds to criticize the actions Trump is doing on his way to attempting to establish a dictatorship in America. The more noise we make, motivates our representatives to be more courageous.  Also, the American people become increasingly aware that Americans will die due to the Trump agenda.

Calls are very effective!  Our elected officials tell us so  Their staff members log each call.

The more their office (Senate, Congress, Governor) is overwhelmed with phone calls, the more responsive they are to our Democratic values and the more supported they feel.  Another plus to the 5 Calls.org site app is that it is continuously updated with a relevant script.
